The students in the Cooperative Learning Center classroom and their peer buddies took on the challenge of making the playground blacktop at Bird Middle School more fun at recess time! The students met and brainstormed different things they would like to have on the playground. Once this task was complete, they set about getting the paint donated (thank you, Bird PAC!) and the stencils borrowed (thank you, Mrs. Burke and Elm Street!). Then they got to work painting! It is amazing to see the students all gravitate towards the new four squares, hopscotch, basketball hoops and bean bag toss. Great job, Blacktop Renovation Volunteers!
